Day 1: You’ll depart from you choice of pickup locations early this morning. We’ll check into our conveniently located hotel late this afternoon. After dinner we’ll drop off those interested in the District’s exciting Georgetown area. Day 2: Your day in the nation’s capital will begin with breakfeast. Early this afternoon you’ll enjoy a tour of the city conducted by an experienced local guide. You’re free for the rest of the day. Day 3 (Independence Day): After breakfeast you’ll be transported to Washington’s famous Mall area. There are so many activities planned here today – parades, musical performances, as well as other live entertainment – that it would take far more space than we have available to fully describe them all! You’re free to spend your day in the Mall, mingle with the crowd of merrymakers, and view the capital’s spectacular fireworks display. You’ll enjoy a memorable night of fun as you celebrate America’s birthday in style! Day 4: Before we leave the area we’ll tour Arlington National Cemetery, burial place of President John F. Kennedy and his widow Jacqueline, as well as the site of the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Challenger Memorial. You’ll arrive home later today. |

We stayed at the Best Western right across Georgetown, located close to the subway and therefore great to get into the Mall area and around. It was a fun trip with so many visitors from all around the US – a great feeling to be part of such a big party. More information follow soon… |
